Film still from Trembling Ground

Trembling Ground is an experimental essay film built from fragments of Iranian cinema between 1960 and 1964. Through montage, superimposition, interruption, and altered sound, the film brings these materials into a new visual field where ruins, memory, and urban unease meet. Rather than reconstructing the original films, Trembling Ground approaches them as unstable remains. Without explanatory narration, the film unfolds through collisions of images, where the past appears in flashes and the present never feels fully secure.
